Little People Street Art

miniature street art

This Street Art installation and photography project was done by an artist know as Slinkachu. His ‘Little People Project’ started in 2006 and is still ongoing. It involves the remodelling and painting of miniature model train set characters, which he then places on the street. The street-based side of his work plays with the notion of surprise and to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings. Slinkachu aim’s to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city, almost being lost and overwhelmed. But underneath this, there is always some humour.
