The House That Looks Like Hitler!

A while ago I came across this article posted in the The Sun. The first thing that popped to mind is how fun it must be to work there! Making up headlines like “Take the third reich and you’ll find…” Never a dull moment I would say... But this article also caught my attention as I also see a lot of weird faces in some of the houses I pass by on the street.  Sometimes they look like badly disguised Transformers- while other times I am sure to recognize a celebrity face in them.

This could very well be my overactive imagination so I decided to post this Top 10 “Houses that look like celebrities”. In order to know for sure that I am not losing my marbles- I would really appreciate it if you would let me know if you see the same resemblances 🙂 Also if you come across a picture that has an eerie resemblance to a face- then be sure to add them to the list. See the bottom of the post for instructions on how that works.

In this article you will find photos of weird people who have all become famous for setting a Guinness World Record. Personally I have always been fascinated by the Guinness Book of Records. It’s a place were not just the elite athletes can get added to the records – but also common folks like you and me.

All you need is one bizarre skill and believe it or not… most people have one! It might be a totally useless one like; being able to run very fast on swimming fins- or burp the alphabet backwards (like my grandmother). But it’s still a talent that could get you listed in Guinness’s mythical record book and leave your mark on bizarre facts history.

There’s lots of celebrity crazies out there with a bizarre taste for fashion- but only MJ could get away with looking totally insane- and badass at the same time!

Before we get strarted I would like to point out that I am a huge Michael Jackson fan! I grew up watching his video’s on MTV ( for the younger readers: there was a time when MTV actually played music video’s), I know the lyrics to every single MJ song- and have perfected the “Moon Walk” after years of extensive practise. In my opinion MJ was a musical genius and the best entertainer who ever lived! However he was also the only person on the planet who could claim himself to be the King of something- while wearing a Zorro mask in public and not get locked up in a rubber padded room… when he probably should have.

Michael always seemed to be walking a fine line between genius and utter insanity- and I loved it all! From the white beaded gloves- the gravity defying dance moves- to the baby shaking madman inside him… I love nuts! And nobody… I mean nobody… has managed to turn nuttiness into an art form like he did. His taste for the bizarre didn’t just show in his physical appearance but also in the things he collected during his lifetime. He obviously had an expensive taste because, at the time of his death, Michael had built up around $500 million in debts! Below you will find the Top 10 – Most bizarre things owned by Michael Jackson, which were to be sold at an estate auction to clear these debts.

1. Welcome to planet MJ

This gate ornament was covered with real 24kt gold leaf. The rest of the gate had fiber optics so the “Neverland” letters would twinkle. I guess MJ wasn’t to worried about hiding his Peter Pan complex…

10. Gold Plated Coffee Machine!

This looks like the coffee machine of Zeus himself!

Robert Pershing Wadlow (February 22, 1918 – July 15, 1940) was the tallest person in history for whom there is recorded evidenceWadlow reached 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m) in height and weighed 439 lb (199 kg) at his death at age 22. His great size and his continued growth in adulthood was due to hypertrophy of his pituitary gland, which results in an abnormally high level of human growth hormone. He showed no indication of an end to his growth even at the time of his death. It’s a sad story really, but holy crap I live in an appartment the size of his shoe!

Remember- they didn’t have Photoshop in the early 40’s!

tree house hotel sweden is an amazing hotel located in the middle of nature

I know what your thinking, this has to be a Photoshop that somehow involves miniature trees and Lego bricks, right? Well as bizarre as it may seem- this  is actually a real building that can fit 4 adults. It’s a treehouse hotel fittingly called the “Treehotel” located in Sweden. This is not their only room that will make you scratch your head in disbelieve, all of their rooms look downright bizarre as you can see below. The Treehotel offers a unique experience as it located in the middle of unspoiled nature making it an awesome place to relax and forget about the time constraints of everyday life.

The view must be spectacular!

Autistic Stephen Wiltshire is an amazing artist who draws and paints detailed cityscapes from memory. He has a particular talent for drawing almost eery accurate representations of cities from memory, sometimes after having only observed them for 20 minutes. He is so frightenly accurate that you could call him the human Google Maps. This amazing talent was awarded an MBE for services to the art world in 2006 and his work is popular all over the world.

Meet Jyoti Amage, a 18 year old Indian student who Indian student stands just 24.7 inches tall, making her the smallest teenager in the world recorded by Guinness World Records. Amge was formerly crowned the world’s shortest teenager, and stands about three inches shorter than Bridgette Jordan, the American woman who held the shortest woman title before her. Amge, who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, is not expected to grow any more. Off course her size makes certain things harder for her, but she truly is a bundle of joy and perfectly happy with her size. Amge has dreamed of becoming a Bollywood star and plans to pursue a college degree.

“I feel grateful to be this size,” she said. “After all, if I weren’t small and had not achieved these world records I might never have been able to visit Japan and Europe, and many other wonderful countries.”

Shortest person in the world

The biggest hole in the world creates so much suction that is has made helicopters crash! How bizarre is that?

The airspace above the mine is now closed for helicopters because of a few incidents in which they were sucked in by the downward air flow.

This ginormous hole seems like a scene from some low-budget “End of World Movie”, where a whole town is about to be sucked into an endless abyss. However I can assure you this amazing and surreal looking picture is not something generated on a computer. What you are looking at is an enormous diamond mine in Mirna, Siberia. It measures 525 m deep and 1.25 km in diameter, making it the biggest man-made hole in the world. The suction from the hole is so powerful that helicopters flying over it have crashed. Pretty bizarre huh?

A peek inside the void!

I bet you didn’t know the most famous plummer of all time, Mario has his own optical illusion? This cool illusion showcases the relative motion effect. In the animation below it appears as if Mario is jumping vertically and the shell is flying horizontally. But in reality, both are moving in circles!

mario now has his own optical illusion

Mario + illusion = Win!

So how does this visual optical illusion work? The first thing to note is that, although Mario and the shell are following a similar circular trajectory, they are in antiphase. Which is just a fancy way of saying that when our Italian plummer is at 12 o’clock, the shell is at 6 o’clock. The background image also follows a circular trajectory. But it goes clockwise, so the rotation of the background is opposite to that of Mario and the shell.

No, it’s not a time-lapse photo and it’s not a bad Photoshop either. Right there is exactly what people saw hanging in the sky one December evening in Norway. Can you imagine looking out of your window and seeing that thing in the sky?! You’d assume we were all about to get sucked into another dimension! This bizarre picture has been circulating the internet for years and I bet very few people even considered it to be the real deal. However again we collected the prove to debunk this “it-must-be-Photoshop” rumour.

Yup, that is something you don’t see every day…

It is hard to be impressed by anything you see on the interweb, when you know that any teenager with a pirated copy of Photoshop can mash together a fake picture in minutes. Unfortunately this means the web is flooded with mind-blowing, yet real pictures which the masses have written off as “fakes”. One could say these pictures were to jaw-dropping for their own good. That is why we have decided to show you a collection of these photo’s and prove that they are in fact the real deal. Below you will find our first example, which just looks to bizarre to even consider to be real or does it? Well keep reading to learn the surprising truth!

Can you believe this is actually a real picture?

It looks so fake , this isn’t a Photoshop….it’s a freaking MSPaint…

The original "Chewbacca" mask auctioned for $172,000

the original mask worn by actor Peter Mayhew was valued for “only” $60,000

“Star Wars” must no doubt have the most fanatic fan base on the planet as last week this original “Star Wars” Chewbacca headpiece topped a prop auction, selling for an astonishing $172,000. Other highlights of the auction were an original art-poster (see below) that went for $73,800 and a “blaster rifle” which fetched $104,550.

As some might know- a lot of Cartoon characters are based on real-life people. However when such a bizarre character as Shrek is actually based on a real person- then we can not let that pass without writing about it!

Maurice Tillet was a French pro wrestler born in 1903. As a child he had a completely normal appearance and Tillet was nicknamed “The Angel” due to his angelic face. He was highly intelligent, allegedly speaking 14 languages and being quite gifted in prose and Chess. He finished law school but always aspired to be an actor. However, in his twenties Maurice developed acromegaly, a condition that made his bones grow uncontrollably large (the same disease that Andre the Giant suffered). It caused him to quit his career as a lawyer as he felt people would not accept his appearance in the courtroom. Now you must think- that must have put him down? Think again! He actually headed the exact opposite of down, by going to the United States and taking advantage of his condition.

He transformed himself into a pro wrestler called the “French Angel”. He soon became so popular that he was booked unstoppable, going undefeated for a span of 19 months. Tillet was arguably the biggest wrestling star during the early 1940’s. He was very famous in his time and not just among wrestling fans. He was the subject of numerous magazine features, and he always made the newspapers, often the front page, when he came into a town for a match. Due to this bizarre occurence of events he was also allowed to fulfill his biggest wish… to become a famous actor and starring in a number of succesful movies. In 1953 Mauric Tillet died, not from Acromegaly but from a heart disease. Just shortly before Maurice Tillet passed away Chicago sculptor Louis Linck befriended Tillet and made a series of plaster busts commemorating him for his wrestling career. One of the busts is in the Chicago’s International Museum of Surgical Science.

A while ago I posted the Harry Potter like invisibility cloak, which according to rumours, is already in use by special forces during no doubt super secret missions. What we have here is another bizarre addition to the arsenal of future soldiers, namely a suit that lets soldiers scale any wall in true superhero fashion!

This amazing piece of equipment, named the Vacuum Ascender, was created by aerospace and mechanical engineering students from the Utah State university in response to a US Air Force competition where several universities were given $20,000 and 9 months to come up with a wall-climbing suit for the Special Forces. The Utah State team were the only ones to succeed, winning the university a extra $50,000 grant. In the video below you can see the Spiderman suit in action!

Real life spiderman suit developed for Special Forces soldiers

It is still a prototype but it works!

Most people will probably look at this and go “FAKE”!! You can’t really blame them, when you got a picture that looks as bizarre and frightening as this one. I mean how did a guy in a flippin Kayak get so far in sea and how can anyone take such a pretty picture when their friend is about to become dinner for this monster shark? It just makes no sense and therefore it has to be a Photoshop, right?! Wrong… this photograph was taken by Thomas P. Peschak a contributing photographer to National Geographic Magazine.  If you want to true story behind this amazing picture then keep reading…
